Internship 2027 - Systems/Test
Prairie Village, KS
Full Time
Student (College)
We are a creative design firm with multiple disciplines of engineering - electrical, mechanical, software, biomedical, as well as project management, model making, technicians, industrial design to help us create medical devices that make the world a better place.
We promote learning and growth opportunities for everyone on our team. The Engenious Internship is an opportunity for meaningful, hands-on work in a real-world product development environment. Typically Interns are embedded directly into a project team, working side-by-side with senior engineers to get their hands dirty with real designs for real products!
The Engenious Internship is a paid, temporary position with a definitive start and end date. Due to the temporary status of the Internship, Interns are not eligible to participate in the Engenious benefits program.
About Systems/Test Engineers at Engenious:
Systems Engineering is at the core of the product design process at Engenious, with Systems Engineers taking a leading role in the design of complex electromechanical and embedded systems. With an ability to work at the highest and lowest levels of the design process, a Systems Engineer can be found advising on compliance strategy, root-causing technical problems, defining product requirements, fabricating prototypes, and rallying design teams. Systems Engineers are expert cross-functional communicators, spending much of their time collaborating and coordinating with design and test engineers, project leaders, clients, and the end users of the products they are designing.
Test Engineer is integral to our design team, responsible for thorough, evidence-based tests to ensure that critical systems are properly designed. Test Engineers develop test methods across all engineering disciplines, conducting software, electronics, mechanical, and system integration testing of medical devices and other high technology systems. They have a well-developed appreciation for precise documentation and well-summarized results. Test engineers work directly with the entire project design team. They frequently contribute to design, build and troubleshooting activities.
